RECIPE - LA FROMAGERIE CELERIAC SALAD
When Foodies Have Arrived is in London we love to go to Marylebone. This area is a lot more fashionable than Regent or Oxford and has it's own character. And during all that shopping the best part of our visit is lunch at La Fromagerie.
This superb cheese shop is not just any cheese shop. They also sell the best chutneys, veggies and tableware. But the best part is yet to come: they serve lunch! Their cheese fondue is the best you have ever eaten outside Switzerland and we love their cheese plates and charcuterie. Especially because they serve them with a celeriac salad. As we also want a piece of La Fromagerie at home, we made a version of their celeriac salad.
Ingredients
1/2 of a big celeriac
3 table spoons mayonnaise (preferably home made)
3 table spoons of whole grain mustard
10 grams finely chopped flat parsley
Utensils
Food processor with a julienne knife
We use the Bosch MSM88190 and we absolutely love the diversity of this hand blender with lots of extras.
How to?
Cut the celeriac in long pieces which fit in to your food processor and use the julienne knife to cut.
Add the mayonnaise, mustard and parsley.
Season when needed with pepper, salt and / or lemon juice.
Serve it with cheese or charcuterie.
La Fromagerie is opened from 8 am until 7.30 pm. They serve breakfast until 11.45 am and lunch until 4 pm.
Go either early or at the end of lunch hour in order to get a table.
2-6 Moxon Street, London
