RECIPE - APPLE TURNOVERS
The summer is officially over and the autumn has introduced itself. Luckily it's also the time for apples and all sorts of apple baking. I have already made my Dutch Apple Pie twice and as I still had some apples left I also made these apple turnovers.

Ingredients (for 8 turnovers)
500 grams apples
80 grams sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
100 grams raisins
pinch of salt
1 table spoon rum (leave out in case you make them for children)
8 sheets of puff pastry (10x10 cm)
extra sugar
How to
Peal the skin off the apple, take the core out and cut the apple in 8 pieces
Cut thin slices of apple
But them in a seal bag or a bowl
Add the sugar, cinnamon, raisins, a pinch of salt and rum
Toss well and leave in the fridge for at least 2 hours but preferably for 1 night
Preheat the oven at 225 degrees Celsius
Take the puff pastry and put them on a baking tin with greaseproof paper
Put 2 table spoons of the apple mixture and place it in a triangle on the puff pastry. Make sure you don't put too much exces fluid on the puff pastry.
Fold the puff pastry in a neat triangle, making sure you have filling everywhere. Take care not to break the pastry
Press the edges together and fold it back a bit so you seal it even more.
Cover them with some sugar (one teaspoon each)
Put the apple turnovers in the preheated oven for 15 minutes
Enjoy!
